Over the past 8 or more years I have been working on the
MQSeries
product. Initially I joined the department to
work on a variety of Unix platforms and make it easy to port MQ to
other platforms.
I now work in the Strategy department, responsible
for defining the content of new releases of MQ on the Distributed (ie non-390)
platforms, and coordinating the security requirements and features
across the MQ Family of products.
MQSeries Presentations
I've given a number of talks at MQSeries conferences. The most recent and
important has been the for the announcement of WebSphere MQ V5.3. Versions
of this presentation are available in Freelance and
Acrobat formats.

This presentation, originally given at the T&M Conference in Dallas, April 2002,
covers both the Distributed and z/OS products. It is designed to last
approximately 90 minutes.

Other Interests
Outside work, I've played in a number of bands.
The picture
on the top-right was taken at one of my gigs. Although I'm playing
a trombone in that picture, I could also be found playing bass guitar
(which is what I use in jazz bands I'm involved with) or
keyboards.
I'm also looking for people interested in the
Jammer Pro
music composition software.
And I ride a VFR800 motorbike like this one.
